A new company offering freelance business support services to firms in west Cornwall has been set up.

Beckie Pascoe, who has more than 16 years experience in a number of admin and office management roles, decided to go it alone after successfully completing a women’s business start-up programme through Truro and Penwith College’s Empowering Smart Women project.

She said: “I had been thinking about setting up on my own for a while, but was concerned that in the current economic climate it wasn’t the right time to do so but the programme gave me confidence to take the plunge.

“It is tough out there right now and businesses simply don’t have the resources to employ their own staff or may not have regular work to warrant a permanent employee.

“The impact of my support can provide a massive boost to my clients businesses without the overheads, sick pay or training costs associated with taking on an employee.”

She offers a varied range of business support from basic and tailored administration tasks, PA and secretarial services to jobs requiring more complex IT skills.
