Cornwall Museums Partnership has secured Arts Council England funding for a leadership training programme.

The project, one of 20 chosen across the UK, is part of Arts Council England’s Change Makers programme designed to increase the diversity of senior leadership in art and culture through targeted training and development.

The Change Makers money will support the Partnership to host a CPD training placement for Dr Tehmina Goskar at Royal Cornwall Museum.

“We support museums across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly,” said CEO Emmie Kell.

“This particular programme will be based at the Royal Cornwall Museum in Truro and will include research into how museums can better explore Cornwall’s unique cultural identity.

“Tehmina’s work will make a difference to museums across Cornwall and help identify how we can help more people enjoy and explore our distinctive Cornish heritage.”

Change Makers will enable Cornwall Museums Partnership to provide a high quality leadership programme for Dr Tehmina Goskar.

The training placement, which will develop and consolidate Dr Goskar’s leadership skills, takes place in the run up to RCM’s 200th anniversary in 2018.
