anderson lloyd launch

A new investment partnership has been formed by two firms in Truro.

Independent financial adviser, Anderson Lloyd LLP, has teamed with investment manager, Walker Crips, to provide a number of risk targeted portfolios for Anderson Lloyd clients.

And according to Anderson Lloyd partner, David Hughes, the products are different from anything else currently on offer in the regional market.

He said: “The use of electronic trading platforms and online direct offerings has meant that there is a distance between the client and the individuals managing the money.

“It’s easy to see the rationale behind this approach. After all, in manpower terms, it’s not usually cost effective for advisers to deal with people with smaller pots to invest so face to face advice will only be provided for those with sufficient funds.

“That means those trying to build their wealth or income are generally left to make their own choices and these, once made, may not be appropriate or meet expectations.

“By working closely with Walker Crips, we will now be able to ensure that everyone gets the personal service they need at a cost between 0.35% and 0.65% lower than they would otherwise pay.”

Simon Burnett, investment manager at Walker Crips Investment Management, added: “We are delighted that this new partnership provides clients with further benefits from the Walker Crips investment process and, in addition, allows direct access to the investment manager running the portfolios in the region.”
