Recently released data from adviser search tool, Unbiased, shows that one in seven inhabitants in Cornwall’s capital searched for ‘financial adviser’ in the first three months of this year.

That’s a higher proportion than anywhere else in the country with the national average showing that fewer that one in 50 people used the search term.

Neil Chamberlain, director of Worldwide Financial Planning, which has offices in Truro and Wadebridge, said: “It’s always interesting when these reports come out to see the criteria that is used to generate the results.

“We certainly get a large number of enquiries across both our offices, especially from online searches where we have worked hard to ensure that people can find the information that is right for them.

“Our experience shows that people in Cornwall are happy to spend time online and research the options before making a decision on who they want to create a relationship with.”

Salisbury was second on the list with Exeter in ninth place and London, despite having the highest population in the UK, coming in at number 84.
