The Bristol Enterprise Development Fund has become part of South West Investment Group (SWIG) to become SWIG with Bristol Enterprise.

The addition of the Bristol agency will give SWIG improved regional coverage and enable better access to vital finance for businesses struggling to secure conventional bank funding for growth.

SWIG’s managing director, Peter Casey, said: “We have worked with Bristol Development Fund for many years to deliver a number of funds together.

“It has an excellent brand name and complements the SWIG ethos, so it was a perfect fit.

“With the rapid growth of our company we were very keen to establish a Bristol office with dedicated fund manager capability to ensure that we can reach businesses throughout the whole of the south west.”

The expanding company, whose main office is in Truro, will initially have ten fund management staff based across the region.
