Coodes' new look business team

A privilege card, fixed fee debt collection and retained employment support are now on offer from Coodes Solicitors as it expands its business services.

The south west law firm relaunched its team of business law specialists at the Cornwall Business Fair in Truro yesterday (Wednesday, May 18).

Led by commercial partner Christian Wilson, the service covers all aspects of business, from setting up to succession planning.

He said: “We’ve been established in Cornwall and Devon for hundreds of years, yet we are completely focussed on the needs of businesses today.

“We’ve been listening to our commercial clients about what they need to support and protect their future interests. For example, we are starting to introduce more fixed fee services so people know what they are paying upfront.

“As a result, we are offering a comprehensive service for businesses at all sizes and all stages of growth, from intellectual property to protect a new idea to succession planning to help your exit strategy.”

Other aspects of business support covered by the Coodes team are licensing, commercial property, employment and regulatory enforcement.

It will be offering a Business Privilege Card, which offers clients discounts, offers and a dedicated client relationship manager.

The team is also offering human resources retainers, meaning companies can outsource their HR function and still have a legal expert on hand at any time.

Managing partner Jeremy Harvey said: “Re-launching our business services is part of our ongoing work to ensure Coodes, as a long-established and community-focused firm, is adapting for the future.

“We have built a highly skilled team of business specialists which is completely committed to supporting organisations in the South West, whatever their needs.”

Coodes’ business service team are based throughout seven offices in Cornwall and Devon.
