License for Purnells’ Alford

Corporate recovery specialist Purnells has announced that Lisa Alford has obtained her license to practice as an insolvency practitioner.

Alford joined Purnells in 2001 and successfully passed the Joint Insolvency Examinations Board (JIEB) examinations in 2008. She was originally based in the company’s Newport office, but relocated to Falmouth in 2009 and now works between its offices in Truro, Helston and Falmouth.

Alford joins Chris Parkman and Ray Purnell in taking insolvency appointments as liquidator, administrator, supervisor and trustee. She has also had extensive experience in the accountancy profession, working with small to medium size business.

MD Chris Parkman said: “This is a tremendous achievement by Lisa as only 34% of entrants to the JIEB exams actually pass. The typical entrant is normally either a qualified accountant or solicitor.”
