Cornwall Chamber of Commerce has announced seven additions to its council.

The chamber’s council is there to represent the collective interests of the membership and act as the sounding body for the chamber by enabling discussion and debate.

It comprises up to 25 representatives from members who actively champion the work undertaken by the Chamber and assist in the recruitment and retention of members.

The new council members are:

  • John Peters (SWIG Finance)
  • Verity Lawson (The VoIP People)
  • Taor Morris (Leopard Print Ltd)
  • Natalie Hadfield (B Spoke IT Solutions)
  • Tony Plummer (Imprimus Ltd)
  • Terri Rosnau-Ward (iSightCornwall)
  • Daryn Dodge (DMD Management Services Ltd)

Four sub-groups (environment, events, membership, skills) have also been established to fulfil specific remits, each supported by the most suitably experienced or qualified members of the member council.

Council chairman, Ian Harris, said: “It’s great to have such a dynamic mix of new chamber council members because each of them brings a wealth of different skills that can be applied to the challenges that we are hoping to address through the four sub groups.

“Collectively, the chamber council has a great deal of energy and as chair, part of my role is to ensure that the abundance of energy is put to the best use through the structures and processes that I am introducing.”
