Acceleration Through Innovation has opened the first of what will be nine Pop-up Innovation Centres across Cornwall.

The centre, which is on Fore Street in Bodmin, is part of a European-funded project being led by the University of Plymouth in partnership with Cornwall Innovation and aims to deliver “innovation expertise right to the heart of the local business community”.

It is now open for business until December 21, providing a wide range of support to businesses looking to innovate and grow. Through the pop-up centres, local businesses have an opportunity to receive one-to-one business advice, get expertise in the form of research, attend innovation workshops and masterclasses, have space to meet clients and even have a temporary place to work.

The Pop-up Innovation Centres will each operate for a period of 1-3 months with locations already planned across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly between now and December 2019. Next to open in January 2018 will be the Launceston Centre followed by Bude, St Austell, St Marys, Liskeard, Looe, Penzance and Newquay.
