Brewed in Altarnun, Creation pale ale is a light golden beer, “bursting with hop flavours”.

Penpont Brewery’s founder, Joe Thomson, said: “It is fantastic to see all the hard work that we put into Creation recognised in this way by such a respected national body. These awards are a tremendous boost to our growing reputation.”

The distinctive name was devised by marketing consultancy Brand Innovation Limited, which is based near Liskeard and handle business development projects for both local and national brands.

Director Lynn File added: “Penpont Brewery is a brilliant client to work for, as they always produce top quality ales and present them in such an imaginative way.

“We originally devised a list of over 50 potential brand names, but felt strongly that Creation was just right for this ale, as it conveys the originality and craftsmanship that make this locally-brewed beer so special.”
