St Austell Brewery has created a new technology director role as it continues to grow and invest for the future.
David Viqueira joins the company’s senior management team from August with the aim of ensuring the independent family brewer capitalises on its use of technology to deliver its business goals.
Viqueira commented: “I feel privileged and energised to have been offered this newly created role.
“There’s a tangible appetite for change at the brewery, coupled with ambitious plans for the future. The creation of the role I will be assuming recognises the increasing importance that technology plays in a company’s success.
“I look forward to contributing to the continued growth of such a well-respected and iconic institution. Particularly one that is responsible for my drink of choice – Proper Job.”
