Hendra Holiday Park has ended the season as it began – with a Gold award.

At the beginning of the summer, the park added a Gold award to its top 5 Pennant AA grading and now its 5 Star Visit England grading has also been crowned with gold.

Director, Jon Hyatt, said: “We believe there are only four parks in Cornwall with both a Gold 5 Star grading and a Gold 5 Pennant rating and we are the only park with both awards with touring pitches and a holiday caravan fleet so we are delighted that we have been able to achieve both in the same year.

“We’ve had an excellent trading year this year with more guests and a lot more local and non-resident visitors enjoying the facilities.

“We have had a few challenges to overcome with Cornwall Council constructing a new roundabout and road layout outside the park which has caused some disruption but we are looking forward to its completion as it will enhance the new look of our entrance.

“We are constantly investing back into the park and the during the closed period this winter we will again be upgrading some of our caravan fleet and making further improvements to facilities.”

Hendra accommodates on average 4,000 guests a night in peak season and is the largest park of its kind in the county.
