The latest edition of the Truro Guide is now available across Cornwall.

Forty thousand copies of the guide have been distributed to key outlets – double the number of the first issue – as part of a campaign led by Truro City Council to attract more holidaymakers and Cornwall residents to the city.

The second issue of the seasonal guide provides a taste of summer in the city – where to go and what to do this season, shopping, and places to eat and drink.

Abi Steel from Visit Truro Tourist Information commented: “We’re delighted with our new seasonal guide to Truro.

“The spring issue was snapped up and the summer issue is going down well, too.

“We’ve seen more people dropping into the Tourist Information Centre, and hotels are also reporting an increase in bookings. Over a quarter (27%) of visitors to Cornwall currently make a trip to Truro. We’re keen to build on this, providing residents and visitors with a guide that’s informative and engaging, and celebrating all that makes this our great little city.”

The guide is produced by Truro-based branding and destination marketing experts Wolf Rock. Published three times a year, it is one of a number of initiatives to raise the profile of Truro and its rural district, which include a new visual identity for the city, launched at the start of the year.
