Classic Cottages has been confirmed as sponsor of this year’s Young People’s Art Prize, a competition run by Newlyn Art Gallery & The Exchange.
The competition, which is in its sixth year, invites young people to create work which will be judged by a panel of experts as well as visitors to the gallery.
This year entrants are invited to create an avatar, a graphical representation of a fictional version of themselves. Their entries might be a single frame, comic strip, animation or sculpture.
Classic chairman, Simon Tregoning, said: “We’re delighted to be sponsoring this year’s prize. Cornwall is famed for its contribution to visual arts in the UK – it’s something Classic are really proud of and something our guests are always interested in.
“To be able to support the creative achievements of young people in Cornwall is a real honour. We’re really pleased to be involved.”
