A Truro hotel is reaching out to its four-legged customers with a new service aimed at taking the guest experience “to another level”.
Merchant House has long been a dog-friendly hotel and is now offering canine visitors a warm shower after a muddy walk in the Cornish countryside, complete with doggy shampoo and fluffy towels to dry off in the new outdoor Dog Wash.
Merchant House owner, Nicky Whittaker, said: “We’re always looking at ways we can improve the guest experience and so making our hotel as dog friendly as possible for those guests that choose to bring their pooch is important to us.
“We don’t know anyone else doing this and we know from our own walks that a shower is essential after a Cornish adventure. Our own Merchant House mutt, Murphy, has tested the shower personally, and it’s now open for any of our guests to use after exploring Cornwall with their best friend.”
