Little White Alice strikes Gold

Cornish businesses were among the winners at last night’s VisitEngland Awards for Excellence.

Eco holiday cottage retreat, Little White Alice, was awarded Gold in the Sustainable Tourism category, while there were Silvers for Gwel an Mor (Holiday Park / Holiday Village of the Year), and Trebah Garden  (Large Visitor Attraction of the Year).

The Pandora Inn was Highly Commended in the Tourism Pub of the Year category, as was Hell Bay Hotel, in Small Hotel of the Year.

Speaking from the awards, which were held at Cheltenham Racecourse, Malcolm Bell, head of Visit Cornwall, said: “My hearty congratulations goes to all five of our winners in this year’s VisitEngland Awards for Excellence.

“For Cornwall to be home to the premier sustainable tourism business in the country as well as some of the best accommodation, visitor attractions and pubs, is a proud accolade especially in a year that we faced such a challenging start.”
