St Michael’s Hotel & Spa in Falmouth is recruiting a new financial controller to replace Steve Hill, who is taking early retirement.

Hill has been with the business since March 1997 and as a member of the senior management team, has played a key role in ongoing developments of the St Michael’s portfolio.

Proprietor Nigel Carpenter, who purchased the hotel in 2001, said: “It will be very sad to see Steve leave as he has been with me right from the start and we wish him every health and happiness as he takes early retirement to pursue personal projects.

“Steve has been a fantastic support throughout the last 17 years and will unquestionably leave a big void. We are now embarking on our search to find an equally inspirational and progressive financial controller who will continue to drive the business forward through our two new developments and beyond.”

Hill added: “It has been a delight to work at St Michael’s to see the hotel go from strength to strength under Nigel’s ownership, but it is now time for me to put aside my calculator! With the imminently expanding portfolio, it remains a very exciting time at the hotel and for all employees.”

Interested applicants for the vacant position role should email Nigel Carpenter by February 14.
