Plans to support Scillonian III’s regular Monday – Saturday schedule with ten weeks of additional Sunday sailings were announced earlier this year by the Isles of Scilly Steamship Company.

The Penzance to St Mary’s return trips will begin on July 7, and continue throughout the peak summer season until September 8, increasing capacity and offering passengers greater flexibility for travelling to and from the islands.

Scillonian III, which is owned and operated by the Isles of Scilly Steamship Company, underwent a £2 million programme of refurbishments over the winter with upgrades including new flooring, new lighting, audio visual screens, new bathroom facilities and new catering facilities, with a café/bar and separate coffee shop operated by Coffee Republic.

Facilities for disabled passengers have been improved, with a new passenger lift installed that will give wheelchair users direct access to the main deck without having to use a stair lift, and a designated space for disabled passengers including access to a new disabled bathroom.
