The site of the former Dobwalls Adventure Park near Liskeard has been bought and is set to be turned into a new holiday development.

The site, which extends to 22 acres, includes a variety of buildings and amenities set within rolling countryside and achieved in excess of the guide price of £400k.

It has bought by Charteroak Estates, a West Country-based developer of luxury log cabins and timber eco-lodges in prime sites across Devon, Dorset and Cornwall.

Oliver Workman of Alder King in Truro, which handled the sale on behalf of LPA receivers, said “This is a unique property with a wide variety of buildings and land and attracted strong levels of demand, defying the challenging market conditions.

“Charteroak has an excellent track record in delivering high quality, environmentally sustainable holiday developments. It is very pleasing that this site will continue to play its part in Cornwall’s tourism sector.”
