VisitCornwall’s official online travel and tourism guide has been shortlisted in the Best Tourist Board Site category in the UK TravelMole Web Awards 2012.
visitcornwall.com faces competition from www.insidevancouver.ca and www.discoveryorkshirecoast.com for the coveted top spot, which will be announced on September 26 at the Doubletree Tower Bridge in the heart of London.
Now in its ninth year, the UK TravelMole Web Awards celebrates those companies leading the way in digital travel communications across the globe.
Lauren Hogan, digital marketing manager at VisitCornwall, the Cornwall Development Company tourism service, said: “To be shortlisted for an international award alongside destinations such as Canada and Yorkshire is a huge achievement and establishes Cornwall as a leader in digital marketing in this sector.”
The website is also in the running for Best UK Visitor Guide Website in the British Travel Awards, which is open to public votes until September 30. To vote for Cornwall, click here.
