Helston attraction Flambards has reported a brisk start to the season with a “significant” rise in visitor numbers this Easter compared to last.

The park re-opened after the winter on March 31, the first day of the school Easter break. And it has hit the ground running.

Head of marketing Susie Hale commented: “We’ve been busy updating and refreshing everything through the winter months and, knowing that everyone is feeling the financial pinch at the moment, have done our best to come up with a range of special offers we feel provide genuine value for money.

“The result has been an incredible increase in visitor numbers which, in these straightened times, is more than we could have hoped for. The fact that we also have a lot of attractions undercover has also proved a real asset in view of all the bad weather we’ve had recently.”
