A new online resource for tourism businesses in Cornwall has been launched by Cornish Mining.

The widget, which has been developed by the Cornish Mining World Heritage Site’s ‘Discover the Extraordinary’ project team, encourages businesses to use the ‘World Heritage Site’ status as a key selling point for their individual marketing campaigns.

It offers visitors a guide to the World Heritage Site, as well as an overview of the visitor highlights and packaged activities/itineraries in and around the different areas of the World Heritage Site.

Janet Semmens, chair of Cornish Farm Holidays, said: “As a co-operative of Cornish farms, wishing to offer a unique holiday experience to our visitors, Cornish Farm Holidays and its members are well aware that their websites needs to sell much more than just accommodation, but finding and incorporating that information can be laborious and time-consuming.

“There are Cornish Farm Holiday properties within easy reach of each of the ten areas that make up the Cornish Mining World Heritage Site, so the widget provides lots of perfect, and easily accessible, data for guests and potential guests.

“It was so simple to get it going on both our recently re-launched Cornish Farm Holiday website and our members’ own websites and we’re already getting great feedback from our visitors.”
