One of Cornwall’s leading hotels has signed up to support the county’s newest festival.

The Nare Hotel has agreed to be headline sponsor for the 2011 Fal River Autumn Walking Festival.

Running from Friday, October 21 to Sunday, November 6, the festival will feature over 60 guided and self-guided walks covering the Fal river area from the Roseland to Helford.

Toby Ashworth, proprietor of The Nare, said: “We were very keen to take the lead in supporting the festival. I feel Cornwall should be doing much more to promote walking as an activity, making the most of the natural assets Cornwall has to offer.

“With the stunning south west coast path right in front of the Hotel and lovely beaches and creeks on The Roseland there are many fabulous walks, long and short, for visitors and locals to enjoy.

“This a delightful time of year to appreciate Cornwall.”

Other sponsors signed up to support the event include Little White Alice, Aspects Holidays, Roseland Cottages, Helpful Holidays, National Maritime Musuem, Hotel Tresanton and Falmouth and District Hotels Association.

Walking in the Nare - the Roseland hotel has become the title sponsor of this year's Fal River Autumn Walking Festival.
