St Ives-based self-catering holiday specialist Aspects has recruited a new member to its marketing team to specifically look after the growing online business.

The company has appointed Stephanie Powell in the role of e-marketing developer through the Unlocking Cornish Potential (UCP) Scheme.

According to Aspects’ business manager Damian Sargent, the rising importance of the internet as a way of communicating to existing and prospective customers has risen year on year for the past five years.

He said: “Without a doubt, the internet and social media has revolutionised the way in which people look for, consider and then book their holidays. In the past five years we have seen our brochure requests fall in line with a marked and continually increasing level of traffic to our website.

“As part of our growth development we felt it was really important that we brought expertise in house and we are delighted to have Stephanie join the team. To have a member of the marketing team providing a full time, dedicated approach to our online presence is critical if we want to stay where we are as one of the county’s leading self-catering holiday companies,” he added.
