North Cornwall-based luxury self catering holiday specialist Retallack Resort & Spa has gone into administration.

Simon Girling and Tony Nygate of BDO LLP in Bristol have been appointed Joint Administrators and are currently managing all aspects the company’s affairs.

Retallack director Amy Keyter explained: “Like everyone in the industry we have been facing a number of challenges with the current recession, however as a company we are determined to meet this all head on, hence us asking BDO to act as administrators to give the breathing space to take the business forward.”

Co-director Jason Keyter added: “We are keen to proactively work together with these experienced consultants and are refining a number of our business systems and processes. This will ensure that Retallack is as streamlined and efficient as possible going forward. It’s very much business as usual here at Retallack – the Flowrider is running, everything remains open as normal and we look forward to seeing our customers here.”

Joint administrator Simon Girling commented: “I can confirm that we are working with the Retallack team and the focus of our actions is to make sure the business is in strong and efficient shape and for us to work together to plan the most successful future for the business.

“No immediate decisions have been made and as Amy and Jason Keyter have said, the resort and its facilities are in full operation and with the support of the Resort’s staff it is all business as usual.”
