The Britain and London Visitor Centre (BLVC) will display all the delights Cornwall has to offer by hosting the first ever national ‘Cornwall Week’ from Monday (27 September) at 1 Regent Street.

Cornwall Week will feature various themes ranging from ‘Beautiful Gardens’ and ‘Local Art’ including examples of work from the internationally renowned Leach Pottery in St Ives to sampling some of the delights of its local produce in a two day ‘Festival of Cornish food’.

Graham Buckley, MD of Penzance-based Mercury Public Relations, said: “We will be there all week representing Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, highlighting just what a fantastic destination it is and what is on offer to visitors.

“It’s fantastic that Visit Britain has decided to choose Cornwall for the first of these events.”

The week in full will include-

  • Monday and Tuesday will have a “green theme” with displays and information from the Isles of Scilly, Trevarno Gardens and Eden Project.
  • Wednesday and Thursday will feature an arts theme with Isles of Scilly the Leach Pottery and the Newlyn Art Gallery on display.
  • Friday and Saturday will focus on food with a representative on hand from the Cornish Deli to answer any questions you may have. There will also be a variety of Cornish cheeses and chutneys to taste and buy.
