A specialist flag company based near Truro has signed up to become a partner of one of Cornwall’s largest festivals.

Big Wave Flags, which makes handmade flags from its studio in Mount Hawke, has signed up to help promote this year’s Fal River Festival.

The company will be providing a range of giant flags to raise awareness of the events on offer.

The Festival, which celebrates life on and around the Fal, will run from Saturday, May 28 through to Sunday, June 6 and feature over 150 events.

Festival director, Toby Budd said: “We’re really pleased to have partnered with Big Wave Flags for this year’s Festival and I’m excited to see how this new venture will turn out.”

Andrew Kingsley-Tubbs, Big Waves’ owner, said: “The Fal River Festival is going to be a great event and I am looking forward to the challenge that it will bring us.

“Not only will being involved is good for us, but the flags are sure to help make the event really special.”
