The region’s biggest trade show for the tourism, catering and hospitality industry opens its doors next week at the Royal Cornwall Showground
expowest Cornwall, which takes place from March 2-4, celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, and will feature a comprehensive range of local and national suppliers.
Speaking ahead of the event, Malcolm Bell, head of tourism at VisitCornwall, said: “Catering and hospitality businesses in Cornwall need to be looking ahead to see think about how they can be innovative and bring in new ideas to improve their offering to customers.
“It not only vital for individual businesses but for the wider tourism sector in Cornwall to make sure we are staying one step ahead of the competition. We need to be looking after our returning visitors as well as attracting new customers with a fantastic offer and warm welcome – remembering that they are the returning visitors of the future.”
Peter Sugden, MD of Truro-based organiser Exhibitions South West, added: “Cornwall is where it all started for expowest so we are delighted to be celebrating our 30th year here and to once again be bringing forward the single biggest opportunity for business across the hospitality, catering and care sectors to find all the goods and services they need all under one roof.”
The expowest Cornwall event will also see Business Link hosting a series of seminars and workshops for business owners and managers in the catering, hospitality and care sector wishing to improve their business for the benefit of their customers.
