A new marketing and PR company focused on the tourism and leisure industry has been set up in Newquay.

Flamingo-Marketing is the creation of Nikki Smith, who was most recently the marketing director for Aspro UK – a leading leisure company which operates 10 UK attractions including the Blue Planet Aquarium, Deep Sea World, Blue Reef Aquarium chain, Oakwood Theme Park, & Smugglers Adventure.

Prior to its acquisition by Aspro in 2008, Smith was responsible for marketing at Blue Reef Leisure, the company that turned around the fortune of four aquariums with a radical re-branding and management strategy review.

Through her extensive contacts Smith has been able to assemble a team of experts in every aspect of tourism marketing. She said: “One of our unique strengths is that the Flamingo team have all worked in the tourism and leisure industry and truly understand the day to day commercial operation and how important it is to ensure that every customer counts.

“I set up Flamingo Marketing because I identified a genuine gap in the tourism and leisure market for businesses of all sizes that were keen to expand and enhance their profile and wanted experienced support for a limited on site marketing team or an alternative option to running a full in-house marketing department.”

  1. Harry,

If you’re looking for our blogs why not check out the ‘Blogs’ section of the site listed above?

This site is a ‘community website’ for businesses in Cornwall. We publish a range of submitted press releases, national news, comment, blog articles, event write-ups, live-blogs, photo slideshows etc. We also publish details of local events and online versions of our printed magazine with more in-depth features written by our team.

I am sorry if you were unhappy to find that we had used a release that you had received; however, this is quite common in the media industry.

    Have a good weekend.

  2. Since when have people started posting press releases on their blogs?

“Nick Eyrley…respected journalist”. Hardly. Respected journalists a) write their own stuff, b) do not spread adverts as favours to people they know and c) strive to write about something that matters.
