Cornwall-based bus company, Western Greyhound, has paired up with Newquay’s newly-formed official marketing body, Tourism Newquay, to help promote the town as a holiday destination and encourage local bus travel.

Both businesses will work together in a joint marketing effort to help promote each other to ultimately help raise the profile of Newquay.

The partnership means adverts for Newquay and visitnewquay.org, the new official destination website for Newquay, will be proudly displayed on the back of ten Western Greyhound buses making journeys across Cornwall and into Devon.

For locals and visitors, visitnewquay.org will include a page dedicated to Western Greyhound, with links to downloadable bus maps and timetables and information on routes both around Newquay and from Newquay to further afield.

Commenting on teaming up with Western Greyhound, Richard Wilcox, business development manager at Tourism Newquay, said: “We’re really pleased to be working with Western Greyhound. It’s great to be able to partner up with such a successful local business for the mutual benefit of everyone coming to Newquay.

“By teaming up we can now offer visitors to the website a dedicated travel page with all the details of public transport options around the town.”

Mark Howarth, managing director at Western Greyhound, added: “We are delighted to join in partnership with Tourism Newquay. They have a fantastic new website and it will be great to have a presence on it. By working together we can help promote sustainable travel and offer a fantastic network of services for locals and visitors alike.”
