visitnewquay.org, the new official destination website for Newquay and Tourism Newquay has teamed up with Air Southwest to develop a number ofmarketing initiatives to promote the town as a holiday destination.
The first event will involve a collaboration with several Newquay chefs and food producers who will travel to Newcastle for the first in a series of ‘Taste Newquay Roadshow’ events, where they will prepare locally sourced food and offer tasty samples to passers by.
Tourism Newquay will also be running a competition and giving out flyers and recipe cards. Air Southwest will be offering free flights as part of the competition prize and accommodation providers from the town will be invited to come forward to offer accommodation as part of the prize.
Along with ‘Taste Newquay’ events, which are expected to run throughout the year at a number of destinations on Air Southwest’s route network, the airline will also be working with Tourism Newquay on a major London promotional event which is expected to take place during April.
