After celebrating 40 years in business last year, family-run removal company, M J Christophers & Son has increased the size of its fleet and reduced its impact on the environment with the addition of the first Scania Euro 6 removal lorry in the south west.

The new vehicle has a body that was designed to company founders’, father and son team, Mike Christophers Senior and Mike Christophers Junior, exacting specification.

The addition to the fleet gives the company the only vehicle in the region that meets the very latest standards on emissions alongside a purpose built body to accommodate all the requirements of domestic and commercial removals.

The new lorry meets the most comprehensive EU standards in terms of commercial vehicle emissions by reducing particle emissions by 66% and nitrogen oxide emissions by 80%.

Company founder, Mike Christophers Senior said: “We have been running the business for over 40 years now, established over three generations, and we are committed to providing the absolute best service to our customers. The investment in the new lorry enables us to do this whilst also helping us to reduce our impact on the environment.”
