Flybe has announced that it is selling tickets on the Newquay to London Gatwick air route through to next January.

The current service comes to an end in October, whereafter the route will be operated through a Public Service Obligation (PSO), which is currently out to tender.

Flybe has said, however, that tickets purchased for flights after October 25 will still be valid for the London service on whichever airline is successful in winning the PSO.

Newquay Cornwall Airport MD, Al Titterington, said: “This decision reflects Flybe’s continuing support in operating an air link to London, providing a level of stability and confidence to commuters of the south west that currently rely on the daily service.”
