Annette Miller lives in St Austell and ran a boutique in Vicarage Hill for three years. She also has 17 years’ experience in hospitality, having run a hotel, restaurant and bar in north Cornwall.

She has also carried out voluntary work with St Austell Business Network, St Austell Bay Chamber and became a director of the BID when it formed in April, 2013.

She said: “I’m thrilled to have been given this responsibility of this vital role for St Austell. Having previously run a business in the town, I’m well aware of both the challenges and opportunities we face.

“I believe in the town, its businesses and its people and I want to take this opportunity and help make St Austell the town it deserves to be. I love the work that I do and the BID has given me the chance to work for my town and to do a job that I love doing.”

John Kneller, chair of St Austell BID, added: “The board are delighted with this appointment because Annette brings a wealth of experience of St Austell town centre to the role, and already knows many of the local traders and businesses.”
