BID Camborne, the business improvement district for the town, has relaunched its cambornecando.co.uk website so it clearly communicates the work the company does.

The team behind the website, which was launched prior to BID Camborne coming into existence in 2011, felt that it had become dated and needed a rethink.

BID Camborne worked closely with BID members and design company, Cornwall Design and Print, to refocus the site’s message and layout and further to increase engagement and accessibility.

Speaking after the launch, BID Manager Mel Martin said: “cambornecando.co.uk was originally created when Camborne BID was being set up and desperately needed a refresh.

“Its primary purpose has been to provide a resource for BID Camborne members keeping them up to date with what the company is currently doing but more and more members of the public have been using it to find out what’s on in Camborne – which is great.

“We have updated it to work on mobile phone and tablets and have created new sections where people can find out about the many different projects that we have going on in the town.”

Work is continuing on the new public website Cambornetown.com which will showcase Camborne to its residents as well as the global audience.  This one will be unveiled later in the year.
