A growing national franchise branching out in Cornwall has opened a new office in Market Street, Falmouth.
Felicia Harris and Jon Sampson have taken on a franchise for lettings agency Martin and Co, following their return to Cornwall after working in the United Arab Emirates.
And Harris paid tribute to the help the couple received on starting their new venture. She said: “Santander granted me a small overdraft extension and referred me to Get Set for Growth for support with my business plan and to properly organise the business launch.
“I needed additional funding for finance costs and applied for a Start up Loan from SWIG.”
Get Set for Growth, a new European Regional Development Funded investment readiness service operating in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, provides free support to businesses looking to access funding and markets.
Harris added: “I found the team at Get Set for Growth to be very helpful and Heather Coupland has been fantastic.
“It’s been great to have a fresh pair of eyes to look over the business plan and have some financial issues and tax situations explained.”
SWIG has been delivering the Government-backed Start Up Loan in Cornwall since November 2012 and have so far supported 39 businesses with £240k worth of funding.
