Home owners in Cornwall are being given the chance to benefit from a new solar system following the launch of a new service by Marks and Spencer (M&S) and Cornish sustainability expert Enact Energy.

Six months after teaming up with M&S to launch a home insulation service, Enact is now working with the retailer to enable residents in Cornwall to equip their homes with the latest solar photovoltaic and solar thermal systems.

According to Enact’s CEO Adrian Wright, the launch of the new solar systems in Cornwall will reduce energy bills and carbon footprints, whilst enabling householders in the county to benefit from the monetary incentives that come with producing clean energy in the home.

He said: “Proud of the success of the insulation service to date, we are really excited to now be embarking on this new solar arm of M&S sustainability journey, and look forward to helping them move nearer to the goal of the world’s most sustainable retailer by 2015, and at the same time help residents across the county make significant savings off their electricity bills.”
