A product aimed at taking the fear out of breastfeeding in public has been launched by a new Cornish company.
The Pashmina Mama is the brainchild of Nicky Townend from Devoran, who designed the product from her own experiences. She said: “I am proud of breastfeeding, and don’t want to hide that I’m doing this, but I did want to hide my postnatal tummy, side and back from other people.
“I couldn’t find a product that was suitable as others entailed covering up the baby, purchasing a lot of extra clothes, or indeed spending a lot of money, so I designed the Pashmina Mama.”
The Pashmina Mama is being sold through its website, and is retailing at £12.99.
