A new 3D map of Falmouth has been created for the benefit of locals, businesses and visitors to the town.

The map is another project funded by the Falmouth Business Improvement District (BID), the five-year initiative that has a number of priority areas, as laid out in its manifesto, that includes destination marketing, event led activity, public realm improvements and business support.

100,000 copies of the Falmouth Map and Guide have been printed and will be distributed to a host of outlets across the town and beyond including the Tourist Information Centre, key attractions, accommodation providers and shops.

Richard Wilcox, Falmouth BID Manager, said: “The Falmouth Map and Guide really is an exciting addition to the portfolio of promotional literature available on Falmouth. It’s contemporary, fun and engaging and whether you’re a resident or a visitor, it encourages you to take a fresh look at Falmouth – another good example of how the BID can assist in driving forward creative and innovative projects for the town.”

The map has been prepared by local graphic designer, Nick Gibbard, who trained at University College Falmouth. This is the second map of the town that he has been commissioned to develop, his first being in the 1980s.
