South west pub chain Punch Partnerships has launched a region-wide search to discover the next generation of publicans.
Punch Taverns, which runs more than 200 pubs and restaurants throughout Cornwall, Devon, Somerset and Dorset, is holding an Open Day event on Tuesday, April 27 (10am-4pm) at the Rock Inn in Roche, near St Austell.
A recent survey from Nectar Business found that 38% of all over 34’s dream of running their own pub business and now Punch is on the lookout for would-be landlords and landladies.
Lisa Smart, Punch Partnership Development Manager for Cornwall said: “We are keen to meet with anyone interested in running a pub, whether they’re an old hand or new to the trade we can provide advice, guidance and support.
“In our view there has never been a better time to invest in a pub; there’s a flexible range of rents and discounts.
“Prospective business partners will need to invest into the pub but will have the guaranteed support of one of the biggest pub companies in the industry. You’ll be your own boss and can create your own vision for the pub.”
