Cornish bakery Warrens has joined forces with the world-famous Colman’s brand to produce a unique new take on the traditional Cornish pasty.

The beef and horseradish pasty is the latest in a series of modern takes on the traditional pasty being trialled by the St Just-based bakery.

It follows the huge success of their Marmite pasty which resulted in more than 50,000 individual pasties being sold since the summer.

Warrens product development manager, Jason Jobling, said: “Warrens has been synonymous with Cornish pasties for almost 150 years and we take the rich history associated with them extremely seriously.

“However we’re constantly looking at new takes on old recipes and this unique new idea brings together two great British food traditions – the roast dinner and the pasty – for the first time.”

Colman’s have been providing mustard and horseradish since 1814.

  1. The Marmite pasty was an amazing PR move (and tasty to boot!) – I can’t see myself being quite so addicted to these, but I’m sure I – and others – will give them a try.
