The Hayle Marine Renewables Business Park (HMRBP), which has been created to strengthen Cornwall’s growing marine renewables sector, will be officially opened on Friday (Feb 12).

The new business park is designed to accommodate companies in the growing marine energy sector and is built on the site of a former coal-fired power station at North Quay in Hayle, now owned by Cornwall Council.

MRBP offers 2,500 sq m of managed workspace including a two storey modern office building comprising seven offices with superfast fibre broadband and seven light industrial units.

John Pollard, councillor for Hayle North and leader of Cornwall Council, said: “The opening of the HMRBP marks an important step in the development of the Marine renewable sector in Cornwall. I am delighted that Hayle continues to play such a prominent role in this industry and this facility enhances future employment potential based on the Wave Hub offshore.”
