Manufacturing firms in the south west are to benefit from a share of £7 million of Government funding to improve and develop their supply chains, the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) has announced.

The funding will be accessed through the Manufacturing Advisory Service in the South West (MAS-SW), the organisation which offers advice and support to manufacturing firms in the region.

The funding will aim to improve supply chain processes through best practice, innovation and technological developments.

MAS-SW’s MD, Simon Howes, said: “This additional funding will help us to tackle these issues across all sectors, making the south west manufacturing sector stronger. It will also enable us to help SMEs access growth opportunities by entering new supply chains.”
