If you’re heading to the upcoming Cornwall Business Show, Cornwall Business Fair or attending the Cornwall Business Awards, then you’ll be among the first to get your hands on St Austell Printing Company’s very-own Cornish card game.

‘Cornish Pairs’ is an adaptation of the well-known game ‘Pairs’, but instead of matching numbers, you have to match up 15 different Cornish landmarks including The Eden Project, St Michaels Mount, The Lost Gardens of Heligan and Brown Willy.

St Austell Printing Company (SAPC) has produced a short-run of the game, which will be used as a free promotional item with a difference at events over the coming months.

SAPC was awarded the worldwide contract to produce the card game Top Trumps last year and have just printed the millionth Cornish pack. It invested £500k in a new machine and Cornish Pairs packs are being finished on the same equipment.

Marketing and communications manager, Matt Bunt, said: “We’re always looking for interesting marketing materials that people hang onto. With this game, not only have we produced something that people can have fun with, we’ve been able to help promote a whole range of Cornish landmarks.

“We’re very proud that these packs have been produced at our factory here in Cornwall and look forward to seeing them being used.”

Cornish Pairs packs are not for sale and only available as a promotional item at upcoming events.
