Cornish injection moulding specialist, polymermedics, has promoted Dave Yallop to the position of managing director.
Yallop has been operations director at the St Austell firm since it became independent from West Pharmaceutical Services in 2011, and has accepted the new role with immediate effect.
A veteran of the global plastics industry, Yallop ran his own consultancy for a number of years before becoming manufacturing manager at West’s plastics manufacturing arm in 2007.
In the last five years, he has overseen rapid development at polymermedics, with new investments in metrology, micromoulding and hot runner technology.
On taking up the position, Yallop said: “Our growth over the last five years has been a real team effort, so despite the change in job title, it feels like business as usual for me.
“I’m really proud of everything we’ve achieved as a company so far – not just our technical capabilities, but our environmental and community work too. We have a great bunch of people, in good facilities, and I’m looking forward to helping shape the next few years.”
