Westcountry Glass' future secured

The long-term future of Westcountry Glass has been secured with the purchase of the freehold of the property in which the business occupies.

The deal signals a positive future and plans are now afoot to expand the building further as the business looks develop and grow.

Westcountry Glass was established last year, when Cornwall Glass & Glazing Ltd acquired the assets of a Saltash-based glass toughened and sealed unit manufacturer which had entered administration under its previous ownership.

Mark Mitchell, MD of Cornwall Glass & Glazing said: “We are delighted to have secured the freehold of the excellent premises that we currently occupy. It provides a stable future for Westcountry Glass and we can now focus our attentions firmly on the positive, long-term future goals for the business, expanding our sales further and building on what has been a great first year of trading”.

St Austell-based Cornwall Glass & Glazing Ltd is a family owned company that operates 13 other sites in Cornwall, Devon, Somerset and Wilshire. The company now employs over 150 staff and has recently won awards for its commitment to staff training and development.
