The Gwel and Mor resort in Portreath has launched a new indoor play centre and climbing facility.

Featuring a range of indoor Clip’n’Climb walls along with soft play and café, Base Camp has been created to provide “all weather adventures, social fun and fitness for all the family with something for children of all ages”.

The opening of the Base Camp indoor play centre is the result of a £500k investment by Gwel an Mor in the resort, with this new facility employing 12 additional staff.

Spread over three floors and spanning 2,000 sq ft, the extensive soft play area features slides, ball pools, bubble windows and transparent platforms amongst the soft obstacles.

Gwel an Mor has invested £5 million in the last three years in adding and improving its accommodation along with new ancillary activities for guests and locals.

Chief executive, Bill Haslam, said: “It is exciting times at Gwel an Mor as in addition to Base Camp, we will be opening our golf course next year along with a fishing lake which I hope will put the resort and Portreath on the map for offering the absolute best in activities and accommodation.”
