Redruth-based embedded software specialist, Bluefruit Software, has upped sticks to the newly-built Gateway Business Centre in Barncoose.

With two floors of over 440 square metres each, there’s plenty of room to accommodate Bluefruit’s expanding pool of developers, and its ambitious plans for growth over the next few years.

Having nearly doubled the size of its team in the past 12 months, the 14-year old company plans to host several training and recruitment events throughout the year to raise awareness of the industry and the careers opportunities within it.

Two of these events, hosted with dBs Code, are currently available for people to sign up. The Easter coding school is aimed towards school or college leavers with an interest in ICT and computing, while the Agile Summer Huddle is a week-long course for more experienced programmers looking to get on the career ladder.

Bluefruit’s director, Paul Massey, said: “We’re trying to shrink the skills gap in our industry, and creating a fun, modern and desirable place to work is the first step in showing young people and programming enthusiasts that software development is an innovative, exciting career prospect.”
