Specialist self-catering holiday lettings company Aspects Holidays has acquired West Cornwall Cottage Holidays.
Aspects, which is part of the Classic Cottages group, will operate the business under the Aspects banner out of West Cornwall Cottage Holidays’ Penzance office, with all staff being retained.
West Cornwall Cottage Holidays was established in 1982 and now markets 110 holiday cottages located around west Cornwall. In 2003 the business was acquired by Austyn Hollworth, who will continue with the company until next year.
Aspects Holidays chairman, Simon Tregoning, said: “Austyn has built a successful business with values that are very similar to our own. Like Aspects Holidays, West Cornwall Cottage Holidays is a locally-based company providing a range of holiday letting services from marketing to full property management.
“We are keen to develop these services and to complement West Cornwall Cottage Holidays’ local knowledge with digital marketing expertise and stronger computer systems that will enhance the service to owners and boost their rental income.”
Hollworth added: “I’m delighted the business is going forward with a local company that is well resourced and has customer care at its centre. I would also like to thank our owners for all their support over the years and wish them and the team at Aspects all the very best for the future.”
Murrell Associates and Peloton Accountancy acted for Aspects Holidays Ltd.
Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
