The UK’s fastest growing top-50 accountancy firm has marked the 25th anniversary of its presence in Cornwall.

(L-R): Matthew Lee (managing partner), Ian Fraser (partner in charge of Truro office), Jerry O’Sullivan (chairman), and Alison Oliver (tax partner in Truro)

With other offices in Bristol, Bath, Exeter, Plymouth, Torquay, and Worcester, Bishop Fleming opened its Truro office in 1987.

Chairman of Bishop Fleming, Jerry O’Sullivan, said: “We opened the Truro office with just four staff. Today it has a team of 24, and recruited five new staff in recent months, including a director of tax.

“More significant is the fact that, while we have attracted a host of Cornish clients, many of the clients we served from our Truro office in 1987 are still working with us.”

Meanwhile, the firm is investing in an expansion and refurbishment of its Truro office.

It has taken over a neighbouring building and investing in a total refurbishment that includes a new training room for both staff and clients.
